    How to Use Apollo A500 Silicone Sealant

    Step 1: Surface Preparation

    • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, and contaminants

    • Apply masking tape around the joint (if needed) to prevent smearing

    Step 2: Apply Apollo A500 Sealant

    Important Notes When Using Apollo A500

    When Not to Use A500
    Apollo A500 is not suitable for continuous water immersion such as aquariums, water tanks, swimming pools, or constantly wet areas. Avoid using it in:

    • Underground joints lacking air/moisture for curing

    • Structures subject to mechanical load, tension, or compression

    • High-movement joints such as large expansion joints, door hinges, or load-bearing glass

    In such cases, use specialized sealants such as Apollo A600 or polyurethane (PU) sealants.

    Why It Cannot Be Painted
    After curing, the silicone surface is not compatible with water-based, oil-based, or industrial paints. Paint may peel, fail to adhere, or discolor. For aesthetic requirements, choose the appropriate sealant color (milky white or clear) beforehand.

    Storage Conditions
    Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. After use, seal the nozzle tightly to prevent curing inside the tube. Shelf life is 12 months from the manufacturing date. Expired or long-opened sealant may not cure properly and will have reduced adhesion.
